Saris Are The New Coolest Thing To Wear In Weddings

India is rocking and being Indian is a statement in itself. Women can portray so much more than drapes when wrapping a sari around them.  She emphasizes elegance, radiance, vibrance, and above all the beauty of just being a woman!

Saris were always the most elegant among the Indian attire.  Today it's making a stylish comeback, especially at the wedding scene.  Weddings are days when family and friends come together to celebrate the occasion and the vibe of union – not just of the couple but families.

The timeless elegance of the sari has been redefined, keeping the modern-day styles, comfort, designs, and shades in mind.  Designers have created a niche for blouse designs adding contemporary flavour to the sari.   It could be a traditional weave for the wedding day or a flowy playful material for the haldi, sangeet, cocktails, and the many other events – the sari makes an impact. Lifting moods and spirits as the music, song, and dance gather momentum.

Sangeet nights, are an evening when everyone lets their hair down.  A sari paired with modern elements like belts, capes, jewelry to go with the sari, hairdos with highlights and so much more create a look.  The blouse and the sari – a pair that blends with the occasion beautifully.

Lightweight fabrics like organza, chiffon, and georgette flow well for easy movement, and with dance steps, its practicality is embraced.   Bridesmaids and family of the groom are opting for quirky prints, metallic hues, trendy tassels, ruffled drapes, etc. making it both fun and fashionably modern at the same time.

Haldi ceremonies, the yellow vibe sees a surge.  Yellows, mustard-hued saris with floral embellishments, or minimalistic designs that overflow with grace take centre stage.   The simplicity of breathable fabrics like cotton, and linen keeps up the comfort level, yet is elegant enough for a pre-wedding ritual.   Floral jewelry of fresh flowers brings nature within blending it with traditional and modern charm.

Saris may be traditional but today they make a bold fashion statement that bridges the gap between heritage and contemporary style.   Designers tap into the full potential of their talent and innovate with cuts, drapes, and materials.  Saris are the ultimate go-to for those who want style, elegance, tradition, culture, and at the same time dress “Indian” – Awesomeness of this country and its weaves.

 Tuck it or pin it

Take it around, and let the pleats sit

Wrap it again, let it leap over the shoulder

The pallu is a symbol of a woman's power

Today a modern attire to flaunt and smile

Weddings are spaces where tradition blends with style

Make an impact with a sari

Draping one is in itself POETRY!
